How does the bearing repair service work?
So how does the bearing repair service work? When it comes time to replace your large bearing, it will be taken for repair instead of disposing of the parts. Generally, the repair service will include the following:
- The inner and outer race will be machined (depending on the level of degradation).
- The rolling elements will be replaced.
- The bearing cage will be replaced.
- The whole assembly will be reassembled and undergo a rigorous quality check.
- In the final stage, the bearing will be greased and repackaged.
The refurbished bearing can then be stored in your inventory and used the next time you need a replacement.
