Fuchs, a world-leading manufacturer of industrial lubrication products has now joined us as one of our trusted lubrication supplier partners.
The company was established in 1931 by Rudolf Fuchs in Mannheim, Germany. Fuchs was just 21 years old and looking to survive the depression, following the infamous stock market crash of 1929. Fuchs began by distributing oil to transport companies in the city via bicycle.
Since then the company has gone on to manufacture its own lubrication products and expand its manufacturing facilities to countries all over the world. Today Fuchs distributes its products in more than 50 countries across the globe.
UK-Based Blending Plant
Fuchs boasts the most modern lubrication blending plant in the UK with over 750 + grades manufactured in its Stoke on Trent production site. It has the capacity to produce over 120,000t of lubricants per year, whilst having laboratories dedicated to the development and testing of innovative new products.
Fuchs UK has its own fleet of vehicles meaning it can quickly and efficiently service the length and breadth of the UK. Antifriction keep a good stock of Fuchs lubricants in their Bristol-based UK distribution centre, meaning our customers will get speedy delivery when they need it.
Innovative lubrication solutions
Fuchs has more than 80 years of experience in developing innovative lubrication solutions for manufacturers. The company has been producing its own industrial lubricants since 1936 and now offers multiple lubricants for various, different types of machinery.
Fuchs manufactures many different industrial lubricants, for example chain oil, gear oils and compressor oils, lubricating greases, metal processing lubricants and special application lubricants, such as food grade lubricants, sprays and more.

Developing for the future
Fuchs understands the importance of research and development to keep the industry moving forward. In fact, the company is so focused on innovation, that it currently has more than 600 ongoing research development projects. Approximately 400 engineers and scientists are currently working for Fuchs in 25 different laboratories around the world.
Most recently, Fuchs has been working with Fraunhofer Umsicht to create a bacteria that can consume waste and turn it into usable bioplastic. This is just one example of the innovative work Fuchs is a part of. Antifriction is excited to see what new technologies Fuchs’ will work on in the future and is proud to be a part of the journey.
