Based in Germany, Freudenberg has been a part of the manufacturing industry for more than 150 years. The company started out as a leather tanner in the 1800s and moved into leather seals for the automotive industry in 1929, during the global economic crisis.
From there the manufacturer went on to develop its famous “Simmering”, a radial shaft seal ring named after both the town of Semmerring in Germany and seal developer Walther Simmer. Today Freudenberg produces a range of seals from static seals to dynamic seals and specialist sealing systems.
A full catalogue of seals
Freudenberg has been developing industrial seals for nearly 100 years. In that time the company has created a wide range of sealing types and materials to meet customer needs. Its full range of seals include static seals, dynamic seals and special sealing products.
Customers can purchase both static and dynamic seals, including clamp seals, cover seals, flat gaskets and more, as well as radial shaft seals, rotary and swivel seals, U-cups and rod seals. Each material can be produced in a range of different materials, to suit numerous different industries.
Specialist sealing products and more
As well as offering a full catalogue of seals, Freudenberg also offers customers special sealing product solutions, as well as hydraulic accumulators and accumulator applications. These include seals for customers with precision-moulded components, butterfly valve seals, sealing caps and plug and seal connectors. Freudenberg even offers micro parts for valve components up to approximately 20 mm in size.
As well as these specialist sealing solutions, Freudenberg also manufactures hydraulic accumulators and accumulator applications. Customers can choose from piston, diaphragm and bladder accumulators. Plus Freudenberg offers customer-specific solutions, such as special weight and space-saving accumulators.
