For the second year we have had our carbon footprint independently audited (our organisational carbon footprint has been calculated at 490.28 cubic tons of CO2) and then offset by investing in a portfolio of verified carbon offsetting projects around the world, recognised by the United Nations.
Other elements of our carbon reduction plan include the introduction of electric vehicles, implementing LED lights, solar panels, improving our packaging, introducing meat-free Fridays, introducing a cycle-to-work scheme, having a car-sharing assessment for company events and trying to hold 1-in-3 meetings online rather than in person.
Each day we also help our customers to reduce their carbon footprint by improving their efficiency and processes. We were possibly the first UK distributor to launch an energy efficiency brochure back in the early 2000’s.
